Curious about 2099: Race to Dystopia?

  • Hairpin Arts Center 2810 N Milwaukee Ave Chicago United States (map)

Our bi-monthly Creative Interest Sessions are open to artists, makers, performers, and creatives interested in contributing to 2099: Race to Dystopia, a week-long immersive arts festival taking place March 15th - 21st 2027 at the Hairpin Arts Center.

The year is 2099.

Corporations and extreme wealth dominate society while most people struggle to survive in the shadows. Lifespans are extended through artificial means, healthcare is reserved for those who can afford it, and basic resources have become scarce. Fresh food is tightly controlled, and the divide between the wealthy and everyone else continues to grow.

Yet beneath the surface, underground communities find hope in the legend of 21H2, a robotic martyr whose message of unity, resilience, and collective strength inspires those determined to create a different future.

These gatherings are an opportunity to learn more about the event, meet fellow creatives, and discover where your talents and interests might fit as we build toward the March 2027 experience. There is no obligation to participate and no need to attend every session.

Simply join one gathering to learn about the project, connect with the creative team, and explore potential opportunities for involvement.
